Out and about

For starters I guess to get anywhere in this city you have to take a busseta, a bus from the transmillenio or a cab. Every time you go in any of these vehicles you a put in there like clowns in a volkswagon. It is pretty insane and I dont even have any pictures to show it because there is never any room for my camera. Lately I have been exploring the city a lot. I started by spanish classes also. Here are some pictures of whats been happening.Guatavita is the place of the ciudad de oro.
This is my friend's families bar that I went to.

Whoosh!

That is apparently what colombians say when something is exciting. Lets see this has been my schedule...
Friday-Went out to the bar and had cerveza, yuck! and the Avenida 7. On fridays they shut down the street and party just because it is the weekend, so cool. I saw a Andino band which is the colombian version of SKA and danced like an idiot. That was fun.
Saturday- Traveled 2 hours down the Cordillera (mountain) to a beautiful place called La Mesa where I stayed with all the other exchangees, the weather was really nice.
Sunday- We hung out and did orientation camp and swam in the pool and ate fresh mangos and oranges from the trees.
Monday- Traveled back to bogota where it is cold and damp, but this time it took almost 3 hours because Monday was a holiday and the trafic on the mountain was disasterous
Tuesday- Hung out with some of my exchangee friends and went to the north of the city and tried to learn how to take the Transmillenio (bus system) it really complicated. Just got back from a restauran where I had empanadas and a Mocca. And then jambed 6 people plus the driver into the smallest taxi in the world if you know what i mean. Tmrw- I start the spanish courses

That is nice. Im tired from the long trip and reading for the work to begin tommorrow. Ill post soon.
